Hospital Management System (HMS):
The BubblAR HMS can be used as a hospital patient, visitor & staff tracking, identification and location system. The BubblAR HMS ALTag wristband can be placed on all individuals who enter, frequent and work within a hospital. Some ALTags can be permanent items carried by doctors, nurses, security personnel, orderlies, hospital administrators, EMTs, fire fighters and law enforcement that regularly are on the hospital premises. Temporary ALTags can be placed on wristbands for all patients when they enter through the emergency room or via in-patient check in procedures. Visitors would also be required to have an ALTag wristband upon entering the hospital and possibly (depending on the cost of each unit) surrender it when leaving the hospital. Use of beacons sensitive to active additional RFID systems within the ALTag wristbands could keep price very low. Sensors at all authorized entrances and exits will allow the monitoring of permanently authorized individuals and be the point at which non-permanent (patients and visitors) would receive their ALTags. The BubblAR ALTag units would be a lockable device that can be opened and removed when non-permanent users come and go from the facility. Cutting or removal of the ALTag TM will cause an alarm to sound at the security control center in the hospital.

As seen in the image (Above – on the Right), the patient’s hospital records and important instructions will be linked to their ALTag so that any nurse, doctor or other authorized person can access the information on their smart phone or tablet computer. Other non-authorized people – from orderlies to visitors will only be able to see the basic Thought Bubble (registered with name, date, etc. at time of entering the hospital) of others in the hospital. The ALTags of each hospital can show the hospital logo, each person’s name and status (i.e. Visitor, Security, Nurse, etc.) but keep all other information confidential.
Users like Security and Law Enforcement Officers would have a higher level of data access and see more details about a person when they scan the person with the hospital’s BubblAR system software. For example, a security officer would see a visitor’s name, name of the patient they are visiting, patient’s room number and time of entry to hospital. This would allow security personnel to quickly identify visitors who were in areas not connected to the patient they were visiting. This would create a higher security envelope for the facility and thus a higher perceived value to hospital management due to the system’s ability to mitigate and lower risks that might lead to a lawsuit.
Additionally, as seen above, the hospital’s floor plans can be input as part of the BubblAR system HMS Database for that facility, and using multiple sensor beacons on each floor which are interconnected to the hospital’s BubblAR system, a tracking system can be established which would show the location & movements of every person on each floor of the facility. The ALTag of the patients (this information can only be seen by the specific employees at the hospital when directly viewing each patient) will have 3 alarm bubbles, 1st for medication (medication description, and daily scheduled intake), 2nd will be a location bubble alarming the hospital staff when the patient leaves specific areas of the hospital or goes outside the hospital and 3rd, a Reaction bubble, that indicates how the patient might react with the employees at the hospital (some people can become violent or have severe medical reactions when they are out of their meds, etc.). This capability will create a highly secure operational environment for the facility. The monitoring of the occupants of the hospital will allow for a simple recording of the movements of all individuals along with a date and time code of the recording. This information will be a low data memory storage file and allow for instant review of hospital situations or a later review of hospital operational systems, doctor rounds, and review of other important functions that can identify possible efficiency upgrades and aid in any security investigation as to the time and location of individuals within the facility.

Elder Care Facilities
Like Hospitals, the BubblAR can have extensive uses in Homes for the Elderly / Elder Care Facilities. The BubblAR system is a highly advantageous system which addresses a major growing international market, and a series of important concerns to both the management of Elder Care Facilities and the families of the people housed at these locations.
Additionally, The BubblAR system can, as mentioned in the hospital use text (above), locate all the personnel that are regularly part of an Elderly Care Facility, as well as keeping a watch directly on the elderly and Alzheimer’s patients within the facility. This functionality also extends to local areas outside the facility where beacons connected to the main facility system can be placed to see and trip alarms when one or more Alzheimer’s patients wander unescorted from the Elder Care Facility.
The beacons will provide the direction and location of the wandering patients before they can get too far from the facility. Additionally the ALTag carried in the wristband or ankle bracelet of the patients will be a functional unit capable of being read by any BubblAR software in any smart phone or tablet computer. Thus if a patient gets beyond the limits of the facility beacon system, the message on their Though Bubble will automatically change to information indicating that the patient is lost and to contact the facility to come and pick up the patient.
The system’s ability to monitor what personnel are with which patients at what locations, and for how long, can provide a function that has been long needed as a personal security system that can cut down on patient abuse – including sexual abuse. The ability to quickly identify what personnel were with any patient and have recorded data of time, length of time, and location will be a powerful preventative measure to deter would-be “bad actors” operating within the facility.
A system of “lock-on” and “lock-off” attachment of the ALTag wristband to all facility personnel upon starting work and entry to the facility, and the removal of the wristband when leaving work at the facility, will provide a secure operational system that will lower the liability of the facility, increase efficiency of operations, create a new way to have accurate attendance and payroll time records, thus providing a new standard of operations in the Elder Care industry. All system ALTag capabilities can be custom designed for each institution so as to best serve the needs of the management, the care takers and the patients.
